Handpainted Bisque Figure of Young Boy
A confident young fellow stares out at you dressed in period clothing and clutching what looks to be a walking stick. Nicely handpainted and formed. Victorians loved to have figurines of children looking off mantle pieces and in nooks throughout the house. This young man is in a straw hat, a bow tied at his neck, blue strap shoes, and seems to be resting against a stump in the back. The figure is shown with a lot of flair in the pose and there is one chip on the interior of the base that does not show in the surface but is tjhere. The hat is a straw type and very well modeled. The entire image is one of major appeal and it is cute.
