This is a Victorian restrike of an earlier scene. The children are shown putting a worm on a hook to go fishing under a Willow tree by a stream. The effect of this picture is one of innocence in the late 18th century. Victorians some 40 years after this loved the Willow tree and assigned several Iconographical meanings to it. This is a really appealing image both from a fishing and architectural point of view.

Exquisite Bavarian platter with a greek key pattern in black and gold around the edge. Condition couldnt be better and platter is well marked on bottom Bavaria Tirschenreuth . This is a good size, attractive, not gaudy and would go with any pattern that you could use. Greek Key or Athens is a very well known and popular pattern that has remained a classic to this day.

Smooth, simple lines and quality glass make this clear glass platter a welcome addition to any table. Surface of glass is ruffled or wavy in feel and rim is nicely fluted for a very large flower like look. No damage here. This is a very decorative 1940s piece of glass with melon shaped panels in the glass that have an almost prismatic effect.

Lovely set of 3 porcelain plates that depict different birds and flowers on each. Transfer print is in excellent condition and outer rim of each has gold trim. Coloring and detail is quite good for this popular subject matter. Made in Western Germany and this mark alone is collectible today. Priced for the set.
